The original is a CD pressed in 1998 in UK. Got it from e-Bay looong time ago.
The CD went bad - CD rot - if you hold it up against light you can see
pin-sized holes in the data layer. Fortunately, I made a backup copy with
PlexTools Pro to a sturdy scratch-resistant Maxell CD-R Pro (actually a
Tayio Yuden dye) while the original was still good, so there's nothing lost
except maybe a few samples from the leadout (that few drives besides Plextor
can rip and are usually silent anyway).
BTW, there is an APE rip available from a Russian torrent that includes
pretty much every Radiorama album issued on CD. That's where I got their
second album I posted earlier this year. Unlike that CD, the APE rip of this
album is from a horribly overcompressed CD that sounds so hideous I deleted
it immediately. This CD is also a victim of loudness wars but to a much lesser
extent - it doesn't sound half-bad.
The album itself is excellent, like all Radiorama 80s material. Here you can
see clearly the transition from Italo disco to Eurobeat that most Italo artists
underwent around this time. Too bad Radiorama didn't stick with Eurobeat and
later adopted the so-called "Euro-NRG" sound - more like Euro-house than Italo.
