Arguably THE cult movie prior to Rocky Horror Picture Show, El Topo went virtually unseen for decades, due to legal conflicts between its director and legendary rock manager Allen Klein.  Finally released on DVD a couple of years ago, it lives up to its reputation as one of the most enigmatic examples of cinema in film history.

Love it or hate it...it's rare for anyone to sit on the fence with this film.  A sequel, Son of the Mole, has been on JodorowskiÆs To Do list for years, but itÆs highly unlikely it will ever be made.
